Did quite a bit of casting this semester. Usually I'm more into fabricating than casting, but this did lead to some interesting pieces. 

Too many feathers

Looks like I will be busy for a good while. 

Working on the clean up for the pieces I'm casting for production. Hopefully this shaves down the weight a bit. Probably not, but a girl can dream right?

Got my little swan cut out and soldered to the backing. Now to just cut the feathers into the brass...

Chasing is coming along nicely. 

Starting to cut out some of the links for my kinetic project. These are going to be part of the chain that the little honey bee is going to rest on.

Tools!

Tools are coming along nicely, but I can already tell I am never going to want to see another piece of tool steel for a long while after this. 

My vessel is finally done!

Runway was last night. Which was pretty exciting because a friend of mine was showing pieces in the runway show and I had my tiara set from last summers independent study in the student exhibition. And did I mention the photo of it was in the program for the jewelry designers?

Putting off my vessel for a bit so I can work on my wax for my ring. Remind me again why I decided to cast again? This is taking forever.

Shiny shiny! Finished planishing the body of my vessel. All that's left is the base and the "smoke" effect I want to get across here. If all goes as planned its gonna look so cool.

Woo! It's pretty much there. I think it may need to be raised another time, but I'm out of time for today. We'll have to see where I get tomorrow.

It's getting taller! Yay!!

Look I did a thing. Er rather I'm starting to do a thing. Angle raising is a very frustrating thing.
